Registration & Licensing

Activating a copy of the software and accepting the license agreement.

License agreement

The first time the software runs, it shows the End User License Agreement. You must select Accept to continue; selecting Decline closes the app.

Registering (activating) the software

An unregistered or invalid copy shows a notice that the installation doesn’t appear to be valid, with a place to enter a temporary activation code if you have one. To fully register:

  1. In Timing, open Help › Register…
  2. Enter your organization’s name.
  3. Select Register. The app contacts the GoMango registration server to activate this installation.

A successful activation shows a confirmation message. If activation fails, the dialog shows the reason (for example, a problem reaching the registration server) so you can try again.

Note
If you ever see “This registration appears invalid,” re-open Help › Register… to re-activate.

Running without a valid registration

You can still run the software without activating it for testing purposes, but no event data will be saved. All features are otherwise available so you can try things out before committing to a real event.
