Preferences Reference

Every setting in the (tools icon) › Preferences dialog.

General tab

Setting	What it does
Timer Format	Standard, GoMango, or FarmTek — see Connecting the Timer & Scanner.
Bar Code Text	The text template printed on bib bar code labels.
Runs to Use	Best Run Only or All Runs — also settable per-event in Edit Event.
Cone Penalty / Gate Penalty	Default penalty seconds; Gate Penalty can be turned off.
Runs	Default number of runs for new events.
Index Points	Default points value used for index/PAX-related scoring.
Swap Start/Finish Heads	Persists the swapped timing-head setting as your default.
Play Timing Event Sounds	Turns the scanner success/failure tones (and other event sounds) on or off.
Live Timing Site	The web address the LiveTiming app posts results to for this event — see Using LiveTiming.

Classes tab

Setting	What it does
Use SCCA Classes	Pre-fills the event's class list with the standard SCCA autocross classes instead of starting from an empty list — see Seasons, Events & Classes.

Preferences are remembered per Windows user account on that computer, and are used as the defaults for new events (individual events can still override runs, penalties, and timer format in Edit Event).
