Drivers & Run Groups
Getting drivers into the event, printing bib labels, and organizing classes into run groups (heats).
Adding drivers
Open Edit › Drivers for the full driver list. From there:
- Add Driver… opens a form for First/Last name, Member #, car Number, Class, Index class (if applicable), Car description, Co-driver, Run Group, a Novice checkbox, and contact details (address, city, state, ZIP, phone, email).
- Edit Driver… opens the same form for the selected driver.
- Delete Driver… removes a driver — not available once that driver has made runs.
- Copy Driver Info / Paste Driver Info (right-click menu) copies one driver's contact details onto another — handy for a co-driver entry sharing the same person's info. Pasting over a driver who already has info asks you to confirm.
Drivers can also be created on the fly while staging: entering an unrecognized car number in the Stage Car box or scanning an unknown bib creates a placeholder driver you can fill in details for later.
Printing bib labels / barcodes
Select a driver (must have a Member # set) and choose Print Bar Code, optionally with the 2D option for a QR-style code instead of a 1D barcode. This is what a scanner at grid reads to stage a car automatically — see Connecting the Timer & Scanner.
Importing a registration list
If your entry list comes from another registration system, use File › Import › Event and choose MSR Event or Pronto Event to load drivers, classes, and car info directly instead of entering them by hand. Import is only available on an event that doesn't already have drivers in it.
Run Groups (heats)
Open Edit › Run Groups. Set the Number of Run Groups you want for the day, then use the grid to assign classes — and individual drivers, if one needs to run in a different heat than their class — to a group by checking the matching column. A class's row shows how many drivers it has; leaving a driver unchecked in every group's column removes them from that grouping.
